Origin is a platform created by EA for downloading and playing PC games, as well as distributing updates, expansion packs, and patches. Although EA has announced it will be phased out and replaced with the EA App, not all titles and content are currently available in the new app. EA has assured users that all their games and content, including previously installed games, will be available on the EA app. However, the EA App is currently only available for Windows, while macOS players must continue to use Origin for the time being.
